How Route Reflection Works

  • • Receive routes from clients: the RR collects each client node's routes
  • • Route reflection: learned routes are re-advertised to the other clients
  • • Loop prevention: Cluster ID and Originator ID prevent routing loops

Session Count

  • • Full-mesh: N × (N-1) / 2
  • • Two route reflectors: 2 × N + 1
  • • Requires nodeToNodeMeshEnabled: false
